Verification protects project data and confirms that the person doing the work is the person contracted and paid. Depending on the platform, checks can cover phone ownership, government ID, a selfie or liveness capture, location, professional credentials, tax details and payout identity.
Outlier says it may request government ID and personal information to verify identity and location. Handshake AI may verify identity, credentials and geographic location and uses Persona in its documented onboarding. Alignerr also uses phone verification followed by Persona.
Use the exact legal name shown on your ID. Review your profile for spelling, date-of-birth and location errors. Have the original, unexpired document—not a screenshot—ready. Capture the exact error without exposing your ID number, note the date, browser and step, and contact official support once with a concise explanation. Do not create a second account: duplicates can look like fraud and make recovery harder.
