Confirm payment before completing lengthy onboarding. Ask four questions: which method is available in Kenya, when payments are released, whether only accepted work is paid and what fees or exchange rate apply.
Mindrift says its all-access earnings are paid every two weeks through Payoneer or Tipalti/PayPal for completed and accepted tasks. CrowdGen offers location-dependent methods including bank transfer, PayPal, Payoneer and Airtm. Its published non-US table currently lists Kenyan local-bank transfer in KES with a $2.22 fixed fee plus 1.38%; recheck the live table because fees can change. OneForma's official guide describes bank transfer and PayPal through Trolley or Payoneer for USD, subject to account and country availability.
Use a payout account in your own legal name. Match spelling to the work platform and identity document. Complete phone or address verification through the official dashboard. Never “rent” another person's PayPal, Payoneer or bank account; mismatched ownership can trigger compliance checks and disputes.
Keep the project rate or offer, accepted unit count, invoice, payout status, provider fee, conversion rate and final KES received. CrowdGen distinguishes self-reported projects from system-generated invoices and provides a formal dispute process. Use the platform's specified ticket format and attach a clear calculation when amounts differ.
Platform income can have Kenyan tax implications. Keep records and seek advice from KRA or a qualified Kenyan tax professional for your circumstances; a blog cannot determine your personal liability.
